Life Scoreboard

Quite literally. We played hearts, go-fish, BS (yes, we love our card games) with inevitable smack talk and invisible wages. Someone was always winning at life (Team J) while the other half was on a consistent losing streak (I^squared).
It started with the poster maker. All of our schools have this awesome device where you scan a piece of paper and it turns whatever was on your paper into a GIANT poster. AWESOME!!
“You guys! You guys!! What if we had a giant Scoreboard?!? It would have all our names on it and you would get like a point when you are, like, winning at life!”
Let’s play a game of “Who Said It?” Was it…
A) John, imaginer of all great ideas
B) Robert, excitable by things like giant scoreboard posters and his black jacket
C) Jaquielyn, 12-year old at heart

I actually don’t remember, but I’m going to go ahead and give the credit to John. Re x2 totally rocked this project. John thought it, and three weeks later, Robert brought it home.

It. Is. GLORIOUS. We had a fun game deciding who got to pick their colors first… and the rest of the team voted on members’ “losing points”… John and I cried over our “poop brown and light poop brown” colors, Ai-chan cried over her chosen “orange, but turned out poop colored” color.
Robert chose fonts based on our personalities. I've always been a fan of stencil
How it works: Points on the left are POSITIVE points. Points on the right are NEGATIVE points (yeah yeah, we got our butts whooped). Points are pre-determined before playing any games and agreed by all members involved. We can “bet” points against each other (“Plus two life points if you make it to the vending machine before the train leaves but negative five life points if you don’t and miss the train”).

Maybe we’re all 12. But it sure makes life interesting :)

Also, I promised Robert one life point for making the poster. But that was before the rule was enforced that if you award another member a point, you also give yourself a negative point. And the only way he will remember is if he reads this post.
HI ROBERT!!
