WOWWWW.
We’re in Japan. How crazy is life?!?? The last days in the
states were full of last minute runs to Target and Walmart. We ate as much
Mexican food as possible, froze at the beach to put our toes in one last time,
and tried to appreciate all that we would miss. The airport goodbye was tearful
(only the female’s end) and full of paparazzi pictures. While the airplane food
was terrible and the ride was full of moderate turbulence, the service was
excellent. Customs went smoothly, and we found Robert immediately after going
through customs.
We had the infamous Mos Burger as our first meal in Japan-
delicious, especially after gross airplane food. After a FOUR hour car ride we
arrived at Robert’s apartment. Not quite the shoebox I was expecting (there is
actually a decent amount of room considering there are three people sharing one
apartment), but smaller than any place I’ve ever lived in.

Twinsies! Reunited again |
Today Robert showed us around Hanno- mainly the convenience
stores, train station, and 7-11. We had a 7-11 breakfast- Curry Bun for me (a
sweet bun filled with curry), pizza bun for John. We came back to the
apartment, unpacked, took a nap, and headed out for a late lunch. Sushi was
good, except for my mini-meltdown (which I written a separate blogpost for,
found
here). On the walk back, we stopped by a record/movie store and
the mall for some essentials and to learn more about the city.
